Hi Glen, Try a clean installation as follows. First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
Flash Player Uninstaller. When the download has completed, close all browser windows, open your Download folder and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook. Next, ( unless you already have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading. Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if games videos etc play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer. Regards, DP-K. I need HELP.!! Everytime I click on something that requires Flash Player, I get a small dialog box stating that I need to update Adobe Flash Player. This happens on video links, Facebook games, and every other media that calls for Flash Player.
However, I have the latest version on my computer - and, I have clicked the update button on this dialog box three times now and each time I am told that my update was successful. But, then I am told - when clicking on a video or Facebook game - that I need to '.update Adobe Flash Player to view.' Can someone help me to fix this problem? I have looked on the forum to see if there is an answer to this problem, but can not seem to find it anywhere. Please HELP.!!

Don't know) either the Adobe Reader 8, or Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.00.000 offered in MY email (I didn't request either). Since then I cannot view videos anymore. I don't like it. I get this message each time I try to view a video: 'GET THE LATEST FLASH PLAYER'. Is this yours too? And I don't see the videos!
Also, I don't know why I have the Adobe Photoshop too. Could THIS be the thing interfering with my viewing videos??? Thank you so much for any help. I noticed on Adobe's website an 'Adobe Media Player'.Is it the same as the Windows Media Player that I have? Or did Adobe merge with Windows??? Premier Pro launching, once we choose New Project or an existing project, it will then error out and say program encountered an error and will now close. Are you accessing an online video?
If you are accessing an online video, which web browser are you using? Try these steps and let me know the status. A: I would suggest you to uninstall flash player. Uninstall Flash Player| Windows (Run the uninstaller) B: After uninstalling flash player, restart the computer. C: Download the latest adobe flash. If you are using Internet Explorer to access online videos and if you have issues refer: Troubleshoot video problems using Internet Explorer Hope this helps. As of 6/10/12, Adobe flash 11.3 would NOT work in Firefox 13.
On any web site. I had no problems with IE. I run Vista, latest update. None of the posted answers on this site solved my own particular problems.

This is how I successfully addressed the issue: 1) I removed all Adobe Flash caches as directed in. 2) I uninstalled all instances of Adobe Flash through Programs and Features in the Control Panel. 3) I restarted my computer and Firefox. 4) I opened YouTube in Firefox. It directed me (automatically) to install Adobe Flash 11.2.202.235.
Though I was aware of that version as the version previous to the current version (11.3), I was unable to locate it for download on the Adobe site. Flash then worked again in Firefox 13.0. Hi I love firefox esp videos. Much better than internet explorer and chrome.
